Keyboard Accelerator property<br />

Description<br />

Specifies a logical function key to be associated with a menu item. Accelerator keys are named<br />

ACCELERATOR1, ACCELERATOR2, and so on, through ACCELERATOR5. End users can select<br />

the menu item by pressing the key or key combination that is mapped to the logical accelerator key.<br />

Usage Notes<br />

The mappings of logical accelerator keys to physical device keys is defined in the runtime resource file.<br />

You must edit the resource file in <strong>Oracle</strong> Terminal to change the key mappings. You can also create<br />

additional accelerator keys in <strong>Oracle</strong> Terminal (ACCELERATOR6, ACCELERATOR7, and so on),<br />

which you can then associate with menu items in a menu module.<br />

Keyboard Accelerator restrictions<br />

• Not valid for separator menu items.<br />

• Key mappings must not interfere with standard <strong>Form</strong> <strong>Builder</strong> key mappings.<br />

• When running with bar-style menus, accelerator keys can be used only for items on the menu that is<br />

currently displayed.<br />
