Report Destination Type property<br />

Description<br />

Destination to which you want the output to be sent. Possible values are Screen, File, Printer, Preview,<br />

Mail, and Interoffice. For more information about this property, see DESTYPE under the index category<br />

Command Line Arguments in the Report <strong>Builder</strong> online help.<br />

SCREEN Screen routes the output to the Previewer for<br />

interactive viewing. This value is valid only for when<br />

running the report in Runtime mode (not Batch).<br />

Font aliasing is not performed.<br />

FILE File saves the output to a file named in Report<br />

Destination Name.<br />

PRINTER Printer routes the output to the printer named in<br />

Report Destination Name.<br />

PREVIEW Preview routes the output to the Previewer for<br />

interactive viewing. However, Preview causes the<br />

output to be formatted as Postscript output. The<br />

Previewer will use the Report Destination Name<br />

property to determine which printer’s fonts to use to<br />

display the output. Font aliasing is performed for<br />

Preview.<br />

MAIL Mail routes the output to the mail users specified in<br />

Report Destination Name. You can send mail to any<br />

mail system that is MAPI-compliant or has the<br />

service provider driver installed. The report is sent<br />

as an attached file.<br />
