Access preference (<strong>Form</strong> <strong>Builder</strong>)<br />

Description<br />

Specifies whether to open and save modules to the file system or to the database.<br />

This option can be set on the command line using the Module_Access parameter or within the <strong>Form</strong><br />

<strong>Builder</strong> Access tab of the Preferences dialog box.<br />

The command line parameter establishes access on a one-time basis for the current <strong>Form</strong> <strong>Builder</strong> session.<br />

On the command line, the Module_Access option can be set to file or database.<br />

To set this option for future <strong>Form</strong> <strong>Builder</strong> sessions, use the Access preference (Tools->Preferences<br />

Access tab) to change your Preferences file.<br />

In the Module Access option, you can specify one of the following storage preferences for opening and<br />

saving modules:<br />

File Modules are loaded from and saved to the file system.<br />

Database Modules are loaded from and saved to the database.<br />

Ask Modules can be loaded from and saved to either the file system or the database. <strong>Form</strong><br />

<strong>Builder</strong> will prompt for the location of the file each time you perform these operations.<br />
