Itinerary<br />

Day 1: Our door to door service<br />

makes for a relaxed departure, after<br />

which we make our way to Irvine.<br />

Day 2: After breakfast we depart<br />

Irvine and make our way to the ferry<br />

to cross to the Isle of Arran, where we<br />

spend the day touring round the<br />

island. A day of contrasting scenery,<br />

from the jagged mountain peaks and<br />

cliffs in the north to the sandy beaches<br />

and rolling farmland in the south.<br />

Day 3: This morning we take a tour<br />

north along the Ayrshire coast to the<br />

resort of Largs with its lively harbour,<br />

busy shopping centre and a two-mile<br />

promenade backed by lawns and<br />

gardens. Also in the town, and well<br />

worth a visit is Vikingar! - the ultimate<br />

visitor experience, Viking history is<br />

brought to life with the use of multimedia<br />

technology. The afternoon is at<br />

leisure in Irvine.<br />

Day 4: Today we travel south along<br />

the Ayrshire coast to visit the<br />

traditional seaside resort of Ayr. We<br />

then head to Culzean Castle, a<br />

Scottish favourite on a 600 acre<br />

estate overlooking the Firth of Clyde.<br />

Our return route takes us back<br />

through the golfing centre of<br />

Turnberry.<br />

Day 5: After breakfast sadly we must<br />

leave to begin our homeward journey,<br />

where our door to door service will be<br />

waiting to take you home upon arrival.<br />

Located on the outskirts of Irvine, this comfortable hotel is an ideal<br />

base to explore the beautiful countryside. Facilities include a relaxing<br />

cocktail bar, spacious lounge and restaurant. All en suite bedrooms<br />

are equipped with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There<br />

is no lift (ground floor rooms may be requested but are subject to<br />

Itinerary<br />

Day 1: Our door to door service<br />

ensures a trouble free departure as<br />

we head across country to North<br />

Wales to our overnight stop.<br />

Day 2: Following an early breakfast<br />

we travel to Holyhead for the morning<br />

sailing to Dun Laoghaire. We then<br />

travel through the central plains of<br />

Ireland to Castleisland and the River<br />

Island Hotel.<br />

Day 3: A Day on the Dingle. Made<br />

famous by “Ryan’s Daughter, the<br />

Dingle Peninsula offers some of the<br />

wildest natural scenic beauty in<br />

Ireland. We make a stop in Tralee,<br />

then head along the edge of Tralee<br />

Bay tfollowing a circular route around<br />

the most westerly tip of the peninsula.<br />

At Slea Head promontory the Blasket<br />

Islands come into full view. We return<br />

to the fishing village of Dingle, to<br />

enjoy one of the highlights of the tour<br />

– a Boat Trip and Dolphin Watching<br />

Excursion around Dingle Bay. Try and<br />

spot Dingle’s most famous resident,<br />

"Fungi" the Dolphin. The return<br />

journey to Castleisland takes us via<br />

Annascaul, Inch and Castlemaine.<br />

The Kingdom of Kerry<br />

Monday 28 May – Sunday 3 June 2012<br />

Day 4: Today we travel the short<br />

journey to Killarney. The tour runs<br />

through the Killarney National Park<br />

and along the edge of Lough Leane to<br />

Ross Castle. From here we catch the<br />

“Lily of Killarney” to cruise across the<br />

lake, a memorable way to view the<br />

surrounding mountains.<br />

Day 5: Today we have a full day<br />

excursion to the famous ‘Ring of<br />

Kerry’. You will enjoy the spectacular<br />

journey around the narrow coastal<br />

road of the Iveragh Peninsula,<br />

dominated by MacGillycuddy’s Reeks,<br />

passing through a myriad of colourful<br />

seaside villages. At Ladies View you<br />

can witness the fabulous views of the<br />

lakes below.<br />

Day 6: After breakfast sadly we must<br />

leave Castleisland and journey via<br />

Limerick to our overnight hotel, the<br />

Regency Hotel in Dublin.<br />

Day 7: Following an early departure<br />

from the hotel we make our way to<br />

Dublin port, for the return sailing to<br />

Holyhead. Time to enjoy your included<br />

breakfast on board, before arriving<br />

back at Holyhead. We then continue<br />

our journey to Norfolk arriving late<br />

evening for our door to door service.<br />

RIvER ISLaND HotEL ★★★ Castleisland<br />

Our main hotel is the modern 3 star River Island Hotel situated on the<br />

main street of Castleisland, a cheerful, colourful, thriving market town,<br />

which is the Gateway to the Kingdom of Kerry. All bedrooms have ensuite<br />

facilities, TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, and hospitality tray.<br />

The hotel also has its own bar, lounge and restaurant. There is a lift to<br />

all floors.<br />
