Itinerary
Day 1: Following your home pickup,
we make our way to the Falmouth
Beach Hotel.
Day 2: Full day tour around the West
Cornwall Peninsular. Our first stop is
the ancient market town of Penzance
with its pretty harbour and level
seafront. We then make a brief stop at
Lands End before heading to St Ives.
Wander the maze of cobbled streets
with their quaint stone cottages,
explore the harbour, or maybe pay a
visit to the Tate gallery.
Day 3: Day at leisure.
Day 4: This morning we visit Truro.
This bustling town is the centre of
administration, commerce and tourism
for the county of Cornwall and offers
excellent pedestrianised shopping,
cobbled streets, Georgian townhouses,
and a magnificent Cathedral. We then
take a drive around the Roseland
Peninsula, one of the most
picturesque and unspoilt parts of the
British Isles with its delightful rivers,
pretty villages and quaint hamlets. We
make a brief stop at St Mawes, the
town boasts a 16th century castle and
wonderful views across the River Fal.
Day 5: We have a full day excursion
today covering the Lizard Peninsular
with spectacular views of Mounts Bay,
the southern most point in England.
The scenery is dramatic as towering
walks of cliffs and magnificent rock
pinnacles stretch down to turbulent
seas. Later we continue to Trevarno
Estate and Gardens, an unforgettable
gardening experience combining
beautiful Victorian and Georgian
gardens with the splendid fountain
garden conservatory.
Day 6: After breakfast sadly we must
leave to begin our homeward journey,
where our door to door service will be
waiting to take you home.

the Cornish Coast, and is situated just a ten-minute walk from the

hotel has a lift, however there are steps to some bedrooms.

Itinerary
Day 1: After our door to door pickup
service, we make our way to
Northumberland with suitable stops en
route. We arrive in Bamburgh late
afternoon for our 5 night stay.
Day 2: Our jaunt today takes us south
along the Northumbrian Coast. From
Bamburgh we head through
Seahouses and Craster, to Alnwick, to
visit the famous gardens. The grand
cascade is an amazing water feature
sending parabolas of water into the air
in an eruption of fountains. The
surrounding gardens include colourful
ornamental design and a romantic
rose garden.
Day 3: Leaving after breakfast, our
day begins with a visit to the villages
of Ford and Etal. Whilst here we
include a visit to Lady Waterford Hall -
the hall was Ford School until 1957.
We take a ride on the Heatherslaw
Steam Light Railway and visit the
Heatherslaw Cornmill, England’s most
northerly working water mill. From
here we head for the Scottish Borders
region at Coldstream and continue
along the Tweed Valley to Kelso.

market square and gracious Georgian
buildings make it, without doubt, the
most attractive town in the region.
Day 4: Today’s excursion takes us
across the causeway to Holy Island
and the mysterious Lindisfarne Castle
– visible in the distance from
Bamburgh. We return to Bamburgh for
free time, maybe visit the majestic
castle on the beach, or the Grace
Darling Museum. (The crossing of the
causeway to Holy Island is governed
by tide times. It may be necessary to
amend this excursion)
Day 5: We journey through beautiful
countryside to the capital of
Coquetdale, Rothbury. From here we
continue through stunning countryside
to Northern Europe’s largest manmade
lake set in Europe’s largest
man-made forest - Kielder Water. The
views are breathtaking and whilst here
we include an enjoyable cruise round
the lake.
Day 6: After breakfast we leave our
hotel for the last time and make our
way home with suitable stops en
route, where our door to door service
will be waiting to take you home.
The Victoria Hotel is situated at the top of the main street in the
coastal village of Bamburgh, overlooking the village green, just a short
distance from the magnificent castle on the beach. All rooms are
individually named, fully en suite, well equipped and comfortably
furnished. Evening entertainment is planned on at least one evening
during your stay. The hotel has no lift.
