Itinerary<br />
Day 1: Following your home pickup,<br />
we make our way to the Falmouth<br />
Beach Hotel.<br />
Day 2: Full day tour around the West<br />
Cornwall Peninsular. Our first stop is<br />
the ancient market town of Penzance<br />
with its pretty harbour and level<br />
seafront. We then make a brief stop at<br />
Lands End before heading to St Ives.<br />
Wander the maze of cobbled streets<br />
with their quaint stone cottages,<br />
explore the harbour, or maybe pay a<br />
visit to the Tate gallery.<br />
Day 3: Day at leisure.<br />
Day 4: This morning we visit Truro.<br />
This bustling town is the centre of<br />
administration, commerce and tourism<br />
for the county of Cornwall and offers<br />
excellent pedestrianised shopping,<br />
cobbled streets, Georgian townhouses,<br />
and a magnificent Cathedral. We then<br />
take a drive around the Roseland<br />
Peninsula, one of the most<br />
picturesque and unspoilt parts of the<br />
British Isles with its delightful rivers,<br />
pretty villages and quaint hamlets. We<br />
make a brief stop at St Mawes, the<br />
town boasts a 16th century castle and<br />
wonderful views across the River Fal.<br />
Day 5: We have a full day excursion<br />
today covering the Lizard Peninsular<br />
with spectacular views of Mounts Bay,<br />
the southern most point in England.<br />
The scenery is dramatic as towering<br />
walks of cliffs and magnificent rock<br />
pinnacles stretch down to turbulent<br />
seas. Later we continue to Trevarno<br />
Estate and Gardens, an unforgettable<br />
gardening experience combining<br />
beautiful Victorian and Georgian<br />
gardens with the splendid fountain<br />
garden conservatory.<br />
Day 6: After breakfast sadly we must<br />
leave to begin our homeward journey,<br />
where our door to door service will be<br />
waiting to take you home.<br />

This comfortable, well-appointed family hotel commands fine views of<br />
the Cornish Coast, and is situated just a ten-minute walk from the<br />
bustling town centre. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, telephone,<br />
hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel also boasts an indoor leisure<br />
complex with swimming pool, sauna, solarium and steam room. The<br />
hotel has a lift, however there are steps to some bedrooms.<br />

Itinerary<br />
Day 1: After our door to door pickup<br />
service, we make our way to<br />
Northumberland with suitable stops en<br />
route. We arrive in Bamburgh late<br />
afternoon for our 5 night stay.<br />
Day 2: Our jaunt today takes us south<br />
along the Northumbrian Coast. From<br />
Bamburgh we head through<br />
Seahouses and Craster, to Alnwick, to<br />
visit the famous gardens. The grand<br />
cascade is an amazing water feature<br />
sending parabolas of water into the air<br />
in an eruption of fountains. The<br />
surrounding gardens include colourful<br />
ornamental design and a romantic<br />
rose garden.<br />
Day 3: Leaving after breakfast, our<br />
day begins with a visit to the villages<br />
of Ford and Etal. Whilst here we<br />
include a visit to Lady Waterford Hall -<br />
the hall was Ford School until 1957.<br />
We take a ride on the Heatherslaw<br />
Steam Light Railway and visit the<br />
Heatherslaw Cornmill, England’s most<br />
northerly working water mill. From<br />
here we head for the Scottish Borders<br />
region at Coldstream and continue<br />
along the Tweed Valley to Kelso.<br />

market square and gracious Georgian<br />
buildings make it, without doubt, the<br />
most attractive town in the region.<br />
Day 4: Today’s excursion takes us<br />
across the causeway to Holy Island<br />
and the mysterious Lindisfarne Castle<br />
– visible in the distance from<br />
Bamburgh. We return to Bamburgh for<br />
free time, maybe visit the majestic<br />
castle on the beach, or the Grace<br />
Darling Museum. (The crossing of the<br />
causeway to Holy Island is governed<br />
by tide times. It may be necessary to<br />
amend this excursion)<br />
Day 5: We journey through beautiful<br />
countryside to the capital of<br />
Coquetdale, Rothbury. From here we<br />
continue through stunning countryside<br />
to Northern Europe’s largest manmade<br />
lake set in Europe’s largest<br />
man-made forest - Kielder Water. The<br />
views are breathtaking and whilst here<br />
we include an enjoyable cruise round<br />
the lake.<br />
Day 6: After breakfast we leave our<br />
hotel for the last time and make our<br />
way home with suitable stops en<br />
route, where our door to door service<br />
will be waiting to take you home.<br />
The Victoria Hotel is situated at the top of the main street in the<br />
coastal village of Bamburgh, overlooking the village green, just a short<br />
distance from the magnificent castle on the beach. All rooms are<br />
individually named, fully en suite, well equipped and comfortably<br />
furnished. Evening entertainment is planned on at least one evening<br />
during your stay. The hotel has no lift.<br />
