Itinerary<br />

Day 1: You will be picked up from<br />

home by our door to door service and<br />

taken to meet the coach for our<br />

departure south to Eastbourne.<br />

Day 2: Today we visit Rye with its<br />

quaint charm of the 18th century<br />

cobbled streets and breathtaking<br />

views of Romney Marsh. This<br />

afternoon we visit Great Dixter House<br />

& Gardens- the family home of the<br />

late Christopher Lloyd, who devoted<br />

his lifetime to creating one of the<br />

most experimental, exciting and<br />

constantly changing gardens of our<br />

time. Incorporating many medieval<br />

buildings, the gardens surround the<br />

house, each complement the other.<br />

Day 3: This morning we go via<br />

Beachy Head to the Regency resort of<br />

Brighton. Later we return to our hotel<br />

via the picturesque village of Alfriston<br />

Day 4: A day at leisure to relax and<br />

explore your surroundings, maybe<br />

take a walk along the lovely<br />

promenade gardens, stroll to the end<br />

of the nearby pier or visit the modern<br />

shopping centre.<br />

Day 5: After breakfast, sadly we make<br />

our way back to Norfolk, where our<br />

door to door service will be waiting to<br />

take you home.<br />

Itinerary<br />

Day 1: Our door to door service<br />

ensures a trouble free departure as<br />

we make our way across country to<br />

Llandudno.<br />

Day 2: Day at leisure in Llandudno.<br />

Day 3: This morning we cross the<br />

Menai Straits to the Isle of Anglesey.<br />

We visit the historic town of<br />

Beaumaris with its medieval castle<br />

dating back to the reign of Edward I<br />

and its Victorian Pier, Gaol and Court<br />

House. We then stop for lunch at<br />

Lanfair PG, shortened from the 58<br />

letter longest named village in Britain.<br />

This afternoon we visit Plas-Newydd,<br />

situated on the banks of the Menai<br />

Strait and home to the Marquess of<br />

Anglesey. This 18th century house,<br />

commands spectacular views of<br />

Snowdonia, the Military Museum, and<br />

of course, the lovely gardens with<br />

colour all year round.<br />

Day 4: A full day tour to the historic<br />

city of Chester. The city’s heritage is<br />

truly inspiring and includes a host of<br />

great treasures from the past and<br />

boasts the best preserved city wall in<br />

England. Visit the splendid cathedral<br />

and browse among the two tiered<br />

galleries of shops dating from the<br />

middle ages.<br />

Day 5: Today we head into the<br />

Snowdonia National park to the town<br />

of Llanberis. We pay a visit to the<br />

Electric Mountain where we will enjoy<br />

a fully guided tour around Dinorwig<br />

Power Station. This starts with a<br />

sound and vision spectacular at<br />

Electric Mountain. An expedition bus<br />

will then transport you to the power<br />

station itself. Descending deep inside<br />

the ancient Elidir mountain’s labyrinth<br />

of dark and imposing tunnels, you’ll<br />

experience one of man’s greatest<br />

engineering achievements.<br />

Day 6: This morning we head along<br />

the Vale of Conwy to pretty Betws-ycoed.<br />

The town nestles among the<br />

hills of the Gwydyr Forest in a valley<br />

where three rivers flow and tumble<br />

down to the town over sparkling<br />

waterfalls. Afternoon at leisure in<br />

Llandudno<br />

Day 7: Free day.<br />

Day 8: After breakfast we reluctantly<br />

have to leave Llandudno and head<br />

across country, arriving home mid<br />

evening for our door to door service.<br />
