Itinerary<br />

Day 1: You will be picked up from<br />

home by our door to door service and<br />

taken to the coach for the journey<br />

southwest to Devon, arriving at our<br />

hotel late afternoon.<br />

Day 2: Day at leisure<br />

Day 3: Full day tour that begins with<br />

a drive to Moretonhampstead and the<br />

House of Marbles for morning coffee,<br />

before heading across wild and<br />

rugged Dartmoor to Princetown. We<br />

then continue to Buckfast to visit the<br />

12th century Abbey and its beautiful<br />

grounds.<br />

Day 4: Today we enjoy an excursion<br />

along the wonderful English Riviera.<br />

Firstly, we make the short journey to<br />

Babbacombe where we include entry<br />

to the Model Village. From here, we<br />

continue along the coast to Dawlish<br />

with its Georgian and Victorian<br />

architecture. We then continue to the<br />

seaside town of Teignmouth. Steeped<br />

in maritime history, this working<br />

harbour boasts sandy beaches, a<br />

Victorian pier along with pedestrian<br />

shopping areas and interesting old<br />

back streets to explore.<br />

Day 5: This morning we embark on a<br />

wonderful journey on the scenic South<br />

Devon Railway from Buckfastleigh to<br />

Totnes. After free time in Totnes we<br />

head to Olde Worlde Dartmouth, with<br />

free time to explore this unspoilt<br />

harbour town (you may wish to take<br />

an optional boat trip on the River<br />

Dart – fare not included).<br />

Day 6: After a leisurely morning join<br />

our coach for a gentle ride along the<br />

coast to the pretty fishing port of<br />

Brixham with its narrow streets, inns,<br />

art galleries and craft shops.<br />

Day 7: Day at leisure<br />

Day 8: After breakfast we depart<br />

Torquay for our return journey back to<br />

Norfolk, where our door to door<br />

service will be waiting to take you<br />

home.<br />

Itinerary<br />

Day 1: Our door to door service<br />

makes for a relaxing departure as we<br />

make our way to our hotel in Dunoon.<br />

Day 2: We travel to the historic town<br />

of Inverary, where we step back three<br />

centuries and pay a visit to the<br />

fascinating Castle with its remarkable<br />

and unique architecture. There is free<br />

time to explore the town and have<br />

lunch before we head back to<br />

Dunoon.<br />

Day 3: A full day excursion through<br />

the Argyll Forest, past Loch Eck and<br />

on to Colintraive, to join the ferry to<br />

the Isle of Bute. We have a lunchtime<br />

stop in Rothesay before returning<br />

through Tighnabruaich with some<br />

spectacular views of the Kyles of Bute.<br />

Day 4: A scenic excursion over the<br />

‘Rest and be Thankful’ Pass to visit<br />

Sunday 29 July – Saturday 4 August 2012<br />

the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. We<br />

make a brief stop in Tarbet where you<br />

will have the opportunity to take a<br />

cruise on Loch Lomand (fare not<br />

included), before continuing to the<br />

Day 5: A free day to enjoy beautiful<br />

Dunoon, or an opportunity to perhaps<br />

take a cruise around the Firth of<br />

Clyde.<br />

Day 6: A restful morning is followed<br />

by a short ride to visit the Botanical<br />

Gardens at Benmore, a world famous<br />

collection of flowering trees and<br />

shrubs.<br />

Day 7: We depart after breakfast and<br />

travel back to Norfolk to arrive early<br />

evening where our door to door<br />

service will be waiting to transfer you<br />
