1. When you update an index, it is identified as unique if it was defined as unique in the data source or the<br />

schema holder.<br />

2. If the corresponding in<strong>for</strong>mation in the data source is incompatible with the in<strong>for</strong>mation in the schema<br />

holder, the affected fields are not updated. For example, if the data source data type is decimal and the<br />

<strong>OpenEdge</strong> data type is CHARACTER, the data type in<strong>for</strong>mation is not updated.<br />

To verify a table from the <strong>Data</strong> Administration tool:<br />

1. Access the <strong>Data</strong> Administration, if you are not already there, and select<br />

<strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong>→ MS <strong>SQL</strong> <strong>Server</strong> Utilities→ Verify Table Definition. The following<br />

dialog box appears:<br />

Note: You should not specify an entry that consists exclusively of wild cards <strong>for</strong> each<br />

of the three entry fields in the dialog box. An entry that consists exclusively of<br />

wild cards might degrade the per<strong>for</strong>mance of the database when you per<strong>for</strong>m<br />

a schema pull. (It will include system catalog files from the data source not<br />

typically included in user databases.)<br />
