Activating or deactivating a class of existing constraint<br />

definitions<br />

Once you have defined constraint definitions, you can activate or deactivate a whole<br />

class of constraint definitions at once. When a constraint definition is deactivated, it is<br />

unidentified and disabled during a subsequent migration.<br />

The following steps demonstrate how to activate or deactivate a class of constraint<br />

definitions.<br />

To activate a class of constraint definitions:<br />

1. Start <strong>Data</strong> Administration and connect to the <strong>OpenEdge</strong> database you are<br />

migrating.<br />

2. Select <strong>Data</strong><strong>Server</strong>→ MS <strong>SQL</strong> <strong>Server</strong> Utilities→ <strong>Server</strong> Attributes→<br />

Activate/Deactivate Constraints. The Activate/Deactivate Constraint<br />

Definitions dialog box appears, as shown in Figure 21.<br />

3. Chose the Activate or Deactivate toggle.<br />

4. Select a constraint definition type or ALL.<br />

5. Click OK to activate or deactivate constraint definitions and exit the dialog box, or<br />

click Cancel to exit without changing the state of the constraint definitions.<br />
