� A maximum of 28 credits can be transferred and applied toward the<br />
completion of the degree. Usually, only general education course<br />
credits will be accepted. (General education courses are those that are<br />
not professional <strong>in</strong> nature, but contribute to the <strong>in</strong>tellectual growth of<br />
the student.)<br />
� No credit for English language courses will be accepted.<br />
� Course credits that <strong>AUK</strong> deems to be professional <strong>in</strong> nature will be<br />
accepted on a case-by-case basis. These <strong>in</strong>clude, but are not limited to,<br />
courses <strong>in</strong> areas such as <strong>in</strong>formation technology, bus<strong>in</strong>ess<br />
management, and public policy. In general, only entry level<br />
professional course credits will be considered.<br />
� No course credits will be transferred from a regional non-accredited<br />
<strong>in</strong>stitution.<br />

1.4 Graduation Requirements<br />
To earn any degree from <strong>AUK</strong>, students must satisfy a number of requirements.<br />
Graduation requirements may vary significantly from program to program, and all<br />
students should seek out and use the academic advis<strong>in</strong>g resources with<strong>in</strong> their<br />
degrees. In general, students should expect to satisfy the follow<strong>in</strong>g requirements<br />
before they can graduate from <strong>AUK</strong>:<br />
Completion of <strong>Academic</strong> Curricula<br />
I. Students must satisfactorily complete all of the courses <strong>in</strong> their academic<br />
program. General education requirements and specific course requirements<br />
for each program are identified <strong>in</strong> the follow<strong>in</strong>g pages. This bullet<strong>in</strong> and<br />
careful consultation with an academic adviser provide the best resources for<br />
plann<strong>in</strong>g academic programs at <strong>AUK</strong>.<br />
II. The curriculum <strong>in</strong> effect at the time of admission <strong>in</strong>to a program will<br />
normally be the curriculum that must be completed <strong>in</strong> order to graduate.<br />
Occasionally, with departmental approval, course substitutions and other<br />
m<strong>in</strong>or curricular modifications may occur.<br />
