and will learn the basic techniques, tools and processes used to construct a welldesigned<br />

Description: This multidiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary course has a three-tier structure: a fundamental<br />
look at the theories and practices of leadership; a study of leadership styles and their<br />
impact on the work environment; and a reflection and self-analysis by the students<br />
of their leadership styles. Course work will <strong>in</strong>clude extensive read<strong>in</strong>gs, case studies,<br />
written reports and reflections. Much of the course will operate <strong>in</strong> a team manner.<br />

Description: This course provides an overview of energy resources, technologies,<br />
and policies designed to ensure clean, stable supplies of energy for the future. The<br />
course evaluates the impacts of fossil fuel, renewable energy, and hydrogen<br />
technologies on society and how public policies can be used to <strong>in</strong>fluence their<br />
development. The development of U.S. energy policy is of particular concern,<br />
although a global perspective will be <strong>in</strong>tegrated throughout the course. Part of the<br />

Description: This course <strong>in</strong>troduces students to the environmental policy-mak<strong>in</strong>g<br />
process. Students identify the consequences of major environmental legislation and<br />
regulations and exam<strong>in</strong>e the actions of both citizens and the corporate sector as they<br />
comply with these laws. They also focus on the economic and social implications<br />
and value of environmental regulation and enforcement and identify current<br />
developments <strong>in</strong> the area.<br />

Description: Emphasizes analyz<strong>in</strong>g and record<strong>in</strong>g bus<strong>in</strong>ess transactions and<br />
understand<strong>in</strong>g the results of these transactions. Preparation of basic f<strong>in</strong>ancial<br />
statements required by any bus<strong>in</strong>ess are <strong>in</strong>cluded.<br />
