Programs, faculty, and students form an inquisitive and dynamic educational community in which creativity, critical thinking, innovative problem solving, aesthetic understanding, cross-disciplinary study, professionalism, and social responsibility are explored, cultivated, and promoted. On Mike! � Advertising Principles � Vector Illustration 2.4.4 Concentration: Public Policy (36 Credits) The public policy program explores the intersection of public policy, technology, and our natural world. The program provides students with an opportunity to integrate their interests in science, technology, government, economics, and other social science fields. The concentration combines an understanding of these fields with the analytical tools needed to study the impact of public policy on society. Through the 28 | P a g e
program, students acquire policy analysis skills, with particular attention to analyzing policies that emerge in a technology-based society. The web has become the ubiquitous communication medium. Therefore knowledge of how the web works and how to effectively develop dynamic websites has value to students enrolled in many concentration areas and with different career goals. Upon completing this concentration, students will have the broad range of skills and understanding necessary to design and build a basic, but complete, web presence in your selected area of interest such as your major, or hobby. Students will also gain an understanding of how to use multimedia and create systems that allow the subject matter expert to leverage available information. The courses in this concentration are applied and focus on hands-on learning, including projects that will be beneficial outside of the university setting.
