JUAN MANUEL LEGUIZAMÓN made his debut with the Pumas with a try against Japan in 2005. He started playing
rugby in Santiago Lawn Tennis and then moved to San Isidro Club, both in Argentina. After that, he reached
professional rugby when he joined the London Irish. “Legui” was one of the players who stood out when the Pumas
drew against the British and Irish Lions in May 2005 at the Millenium Stadium. Then, he left England and joined the
Stade Francais, where he shared the team with many other Argentine players. Nowadays, he plays in Lyon OU. As
time went by, Juan Manuel has become a great player with an enormous strength, who can perform in any third row
position. Leguizamón, who played already 43 test matches, is nowadays one of the milestones of the team. When
he was young, he played as centre. At the age of 20, he moved from Santiago del Estero to Buenos Aires, longing
to play with the Pumas. He did it.
