The acrylic technique taught in this workshop is quick and easy t o l e a r n . E a c h workshop stands a l o n e , d o e s n’ t build on previous experience and covers different flower motifs. The class will cover preparing the surface, showing students appropriate paints and brushes and producing a beautiful hand painted glassware item. Learn to play, or expand your skills and repertoire, in this friendly and encouraging environment of private lessons. Lessons will emphasize musical theory, physical technique and classical, jazz and ethnic styles of music. Students will be assigned pieces to play and practice at home. Instruction will advance from your current level and encompass all aspects of musical playing. All participants under 18 years of age must have an accompanying adult present during class time. Register early; at least one week prior to class start date to ensure a space. Private lessons will be one half hour between 4:30pm and 9pm. Call the front desk to choose between lessons on Mondays or Fridays. Early session begins Monday, May 7th or Friday, May 11th. Late session begins Friday, June 29th or Monday, July 2nd. Sessions are 7 weeks in length and cost is $145. BEGINNING VIOLIN The famous and highly successful Suzuki violin method is here! Now you can enroll in the world renowned Suzuki violin class. Enjoy the fun and encouragement of learning to play the violin with others. Instructor Mrs. Dizney teaches in a way that makes learning both fun and enjoyable. All Ages Athletics KENDO Kendo is the martial art and sport of Japanese Samurai Swordsmanship. Beginning students start with the basic techniques of Kendo and as they continue will learn more advanced techniques along with discipline, culture and etiquette of Kendo and Japan. Wooden swords are available from instructor for $23. Class fee does not include additional equipment cost for continuing and advanced students. RED, WHITE & BLUES FESTIVAL Celebrate July 4th with a spectacular fireworks show, musical entertainment, fun family activities and lots more! KID ESCAPE (PARENT’S NIGHT OUT) Parent’s Escape for a night out on the town, and Kid’s Escape to the Federal Way Community Center and everyone has fun! The cheapest babysitting in town with fun activities for all. Kid Escape is offered for kids ages K - 5th grade. Dinner will be served, pool time, arts & craft and then a movie.
