SPECIAL OLYMPICS SPORTS
Individuals participating in Recreation
Inclusion/Special Olympic activities will be
required to have: a current Recreation Inc.
Medical form (form expires at the end of each
year) and a current Application for Participation
form on file (this medical is good for 3 years
from the date of the doctor’s exam). Please note
that athletes who qualify for the SOWA State
Meet will need to pay an additional $20 fee.
BOWLING
Join the fun with our year-round bowling
program at Secoma Lanes. Bring $3 each week
for two games. The bowling alley is wheelchair
accessible.

Do you enjoy the water? If so, this class is
for you. Join us as we learn to swim, refine
your current strokes or learn new strokes.
Competition opportunities will be the Special
Olympics Regional Meet on April 21 and the
State Meet June 1-3. No practice 4/8, 5/13 & 5/27.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS SOFTBALL
Fly, Fly, Fly Away! Join our Special Olympics
team, Unified Team or Individual Skills team as
we learn the techniques and refine our skills for
the All American past-time of softball. Teams
will be set up according to age and ability and
will compete at a regional tournament on
July 28 and if they qualify will attend the State
tournament on August 18.

This is a fee for SOWA athletes who are going
to state. Fee must be paid before you can
attend the tournament. All tournament dates
are listed below.
Swimming State Fee - April 28

Special Events
Rec Inc Dinner Fundraiser
Join us at the Community Center for a fun night
with our friends! Chef Rob Sanders will prepare
a sphagetti dinner with a desert for us to enjoy.
The proceeds will go directly to the Rec Inc
programs to help keep our program running
successfully! Please invite family, friends, and
