The Chinese Rose Society was established in November 1986. It is based in Beijing.
We have group and individual members. The members include rose lovers, amateur rose
breeders, rose gardens, rose producers and rose professionals..
The Chinese Rose Society will bid to hold the 2018 World Rose Convention in
Beijing. We hope that the World Rose Convention will, for the first time, come to China -
one of the most important places in the world for species roses and heritage roses. If we win
the right to host the convention we will build a new rose garden and will show our kindness
and hospitality to all rosarians. The pre and post convention tours to rose gardens and wild
rose fields will allow rosarians to experience the culture and rich species roses of China.
The 5 th China national rose show will be held in Sanya, Hainan in December 2012. It
will be the first time the show is held on a tropical island and in winter. During the show
there will also be an international rose festival and a convention on this beautiful tropical
island. We welcome rose friends from home and abroad to attend.
