Each January the Indian Rose Federation, in collaboration with a local rose society,
organizes a national rose convention in a different city. The convention includes a
competitive rose show with roses entered from all over India, seminars, workshops, lectures
and visits to rose gardens in the area. The Indian Rose Annual, edited by Girija and M.S.
(Viru) Viraraghavan, is released at the convention.
There are 19 Rose Societies under the umbrella of the Indian Rose Federation.
