Cooper Lighting
Names Eight
Winners
Cooper Lighting announced
the winners of its 27th annual
Source Awards national lighting
design competition. Five
winners were recognized in
the Professional Category, two
receiving top honors and
three were awarded honorable
mentions. Three students
were also recognized, two of
which were honorable mentions.This
year’s winners were
recognized at the LIGHTFAIR
INTERNATIONAL 2004
Daylighting Institute Luncheon
in Las Vegas, NV.
Winners in the Professional
Category were Carrie Welker,
C. Welker Lighting Design/TCI
in Atlanta, GA, for the lighting
design of the Broward Mall
Renovation in Plantation, FL,
and Robert H. Singer and Kale
E. Lacroux, of Robert Singer &
Associates in Basalt, CO, for a
13,000 sq ft Aspen estate.
In addition, three honorable
mention awards were given.
Thomas J. Skradski and Takae
Oyake of Lumenworks Inc.
(Oakland, CA), received an
honorable mention for the
lighting design of the Diageo
Chateau and Estate Wines in
San Mateo, CA, and Paul M.
Kuhlmann, Darren Stross (Le
Pique and Orne) and Bill
Goehe (S.S.C. Engineering)
from St. Louis, MO, for the
design of the Immaculate
Heart of Mary Catholic
Church in the small town of
New Melle, MO.The final honorable
mention award went to
Sherri DuPont and Kim Collins
of Collins & DuPont Interiors
(Bonita Springs, FL), and Mary
Andalia of AVL PRO (Naples)
for the lighting of an 11,000 sq
ft condominium penthouse in
Naples.
Student winners, who must
be enrolled in the design, architectural
and engineering disciplines,
enter conceptual lighting
design projects. This year’s
