Temperature 70 The relationship between the measured variable (temperature) and the resistance value is shown on a graph. The designation of the various PTC sensor elements is standardized and comprises: a) the material of the sensor element b) its resistance at 0 °C e.g. Ni 1000 Nickel sensor element 1000 Ω resistance at 0 °C. e.g. Pt 100 Platinum sensor element 100 Ω resistance at 0 °C. NTC sensors The characteristic curve of the NTC sensor is not linear. The measuring ranges are defined by the manufacturer.
