Division I Initial-Eligibility Waivers Committee Nominee Information
As the Director of Academic and Student-Athlete Services at a Division I-AAA University, I wear a number of
hats. One of these hats involves working with our freshman student-athletes helping them to make the
transition to life as a collegiate student-athlete. A student-athlete's high school transcript and tests scores
are an integral aspect of our freshman mentoring program. Due to my work over the past six years with
athletic academic support, I have attained excellent experience with what to look for on these blueprints for
academic success. I have served on committees involving various sports, strategic planning, NCAA
Certification, NCAA Leadership, and the organization of the National Association of Academic Advisors for
Athletes, but I would like to serve the Initial-Eligibility Waivers Committee because working with transcripts
and incoming student-athletes is indeed not only one of my passions, but also a primary component of my
daily job responsibilities.
