Toomas Turk, head of Info-logistics, Eesti <strong>Post</strong><br />

Toomas Türk is head of the Info-logistics division at Eesti <strong>Post</strong> – a new business unit that combines digital<br />

services, direct marketing and hybrid mail. He is also council member in two subsidiary companies – Eesti<br />

Elektronpost plc and Estonian Centre of e-Invoices Ltd – and vice-chair <strong>Post</strong>Europ AES Forum. He graduated<br />

from Tallinn University of Technology and holds a diploma in Business Administration.<br />

Alex Valdettaro, global account manager, Swiss <strong>Post</strong><br />

Alex Valdettaro is a global account manager for Swiss <strong>Post</strong>. Following extensive private sector experience<br />

in marketing and sales, Alex joined Swiss <strong>Post</strong> in 1995, initially in its Marketing division, then on to strategic<br />

account management at Swiss <strong>Post</strong> International.<br />

Jasper van den driest, managing director, Ancra Systems BV<br />

Jasper van den Driest graduated in International Relations from Groningen University. After working as a<br />

strategic consultant at Accenture for a few years, he made the move to one of the largest private companies<br />

in the Netherlands, Pon Holdings. At Pon Jasper held a variety of management positions relating to business<br />

development and marketing in the Netherlands and in the USA. Jasper joined Ancra Systems in 2007 and has<br />

been managing director and major shareholder ever since.<br />

martijn E. van der Lande, market director Parcel & <strong>Post</strong>al, Vanderlande Industries<br />

Martijn E. van der Lande started his career working for a Dutch IT company in various mainly commercial<br />

positions. He moved to Vanderlande Industries in 1999 and started in the Barcelona office, focusing on the<br />

express parcel market. He continued this business focus from the Netherlands after three years operating in<br />

the Benelux market. After a three-year stint in the international airport business for Vanderlande Industries<br />

he came back to the parcel and postal business at the beginning of 2009.<br />

Johan van duijne, business development manager, <strong>Post</strong>al Solutions, Neopost<br />

Johan van Duijne joined Neopost in 2003 and has worked in several positions in both international sales and<br />

marketing. In total his experience in the mailing business goes back more than 15 years. In his current role<br />

of international business development manager he leads the development of mid-end easy-to-implement<br />

postal automation solutions.<br />

Koen Vandaele, managing partner, deloitte Consulting<br />

Koen Vandaele has served as the postal leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) since 2007. He has<br />

provided strategic advisory services to a wide variety of postal and logistics industry organisations while<br />

coordinating and supporting the EMEA Community of Practice, which operates across 15 countries.<br />

Joost Vantomme, chair European Affairs Committee, <strong>Post</strong>Europ<br />

Joost is a lawyer with additional specialisation in regulatory law and economics. Besides his position of<br />

director regulatory affairs at bpost, he is chairman of the European Union Affairs Committee of <strong>Post</strong>Europ.<br />

Before his current regulatory function he served bpost as deputy general counsel and senior counsel in<br />

competition law. Previously Joost held legal positions in the electronic communications sector, including<br />

legal director of Belgacom. He serves as Board member of FEDMA, the Federation of European Direct and<br />

Interactive Marketing.<br />

Karin Vierwind, director Order2Cash, <strong>Post</strong>NL<br />

Karin Vierwind is manager Order2Cash at <strong>Post</strong>NL. After receiving a BBA at Nijenrode University, Breukelen<br />

(NL) and an MSc in Economics and Business at Erasmus University with specialisation in Urban Port &<br />

Transport Economics, she started her professional career at <strong>Post</strong> NL in 1998, where she worked in several<br />

marketing and sales positions before she started her current position in January 2012.<br />

martin Voss, strategic industry manager, Sick AG<br />

Martin Voss is the strategic industry manager for CEP and cargo industries of the Solution Centre Logistic<br />

Automation of Sick AG in Germany. He has a degree in Production Engineering and 16 years’ experience in<br />

supply chain management, strategic planning and international sales and marketing management in the<br />

semiconductor and sensor automation industries.<br />

martin Wegner, vice president, solutions, patents and performance management,<br />

deutsche <strong>Post</strong> dHL<br />

Martin joined Deutsche <strong>Post</strong> DHL in 2002, where he worked in various operational positions within the DHL<br />

Express division and strategic positions at the group’s Corporate Development office. In 2006 Martin moved<br />

to the Innovation unit of DHL, where he took over responsibility for the development of a variety of products<br />

and services such as the zero-emission product GoGreen, the carbon management scheme and monitoring<br />

solutions for temperature-sensitive shipments. In 2010 Martin was appointed vice president Customer<br />

Solutions and Innovation (CSI). In this role he is heading the DHL Research & Development unit, which<br />

includes responsibility for corporate patent management.<br />

Harald m. Weyerich, director, <strong>Post</strong>al Technology Centre, uPu<br />

H. Weyerich has been director of UPU’s <strong>Post</strong>al Technology Centre since April 2006. He has 30 years’ experience<br />

in the IT and organisation areas. For 10 years he managed application development projects in the defence<br />

area, followed by five years of international management consultancy with a focus on business process<br />

reengineering and IT strategy. Prior to his current position he worked as a technical director responsible<br />

for services, support and customer relationship management for two commercial software vendors with<br />

activities in the database application and B2B markets.<br />

david Williams, inspector general, uS <strong>Post</strong>al Service<br />

David Williams has been the inspector general (IG) for the US <strong>Post</strong>al Service since 20 August 2003. He is<br />

responsible for approximately 1,100 employees who conduct independent audits and investigations for<br />

the largest civilian federal agency, which has US$66 billion in annual revenues, 546,000 employees and<br />

contractors and 32,000 retail facilities.<br />
