5. Methodology
Classes will be developed by using different deductive
and inductive techniques to identify analyze and apply
the structures studied through oral and written texts.
To develop all the contents, the students will be given
handouts containing texts in which the structures are
used or will be asked to search for information related
with the contents being studied.
Students will read, analyze, and try to understand the
content material assigned. Then the teacher and the
students will discuss the material in detail and give more
examples. Through cooperative learning techniques,
students will further discuss and apply what they have
learned. In this way, an atmosphere, in which discussion
will be relevant, will be created, and maintained
throughout the course.
6. Evaluation Guidelines
• Theory: 60%
• Practice: 40%
Examinations will be performed in controlled and free
oral and written activities. These examinations will be
based on specific topics previously studied.

2. DESCRIPCIÓN
La investigación educativa es una asignatura que
despierta el interés por conocer en general los
fenómenos educativos presentes en la vida cotidiana
que deben ser descubiertos mediante el método
científico, aplicando distintas técnicas e instrumentos
para tal fin. La asignatura estimula el desarrollo de
competencias investigativas por medio del dominio
teórico de los tipos de investigación, las técnicas e
instrumentos para recolectar información, el análisis e
interpretación de datos y la estructura para presentar
informes de estas investigaciones.
La asignatura hace especial énfasis en la teoría
de la investigación y su natural vinculación con la
práctica y tiene por finalidad contribuir a la formación
del docente como un estratega de la educación que
posea y sea capaz de utilizar los recursos necesarios
para construir procesos auténticos de aprendizaje en
las personas.
Con esta asignatura, los estudiantes serán capaces
de actuar reflexivamente en función del análisis
crítico del medio sociofamiliar-económico-cultural,
en el campo de la educación, para proponer
transformaciones en su práctica docente mediante
el estudio de los ejes temáticos: epistemología
e investigación sociocomunitaria; investigación
cuantitativa-cualitativa; técnicas e instrumentos de
recolección de información; análisis e interpretación
de resultados e informe del anteproyecto de
investigación.
