2.1 Data Center: El Cerebro de la AUI
El DC se encuentra ubicado en la Ciudad de La Punta
(ver figura 1) en instalaciones del gobierno provincial,
dedicadas exclusivamente a este fin. El predio es de
aproximadamente 10.000 metros cuadrados y ha sido
elegido estratégicamente por la cercanía a la capital
provincial, la infraestructura de servicios disponibles,
el fácil acceso a la zona, y la posibilidad de carga y
descarga de equipamiento.
El DC de San Luis es de clase mundial (world class).
Cuenta con arquitectura antisísmica y aislada térmica e
hidrófugamente, sistemas anti-incendios, control ambiental
constante y fuentes de energía duplicadas.
Entre los aspectos más destacados de la infraestructura
del Data Center se pueden mencionar:
• Capacidad de proveer de un rango virtualmente
ilimitado de instalaciones, a través de servidores
virtuales.

The DC is located in the City of La Punta (fig.1) in its own facility, property
of the provincial government. The facility covers approximately
10000 square meters, and has been chosen strategically because of
its proximity to the provincial capital, the infrastructure of available
services, easy access and the possibility of loading and unloading of
equipment.
San Luis’ Data Center is a world class one. The architecture of the facility
is anti-seismic, thermally insulated and waterproof,
Among the most important features the data center’s infrastructure
presents:
• Capability to provide a virtually unlimited amount of facilities,
through the use of virtual servers.
• The global infrastructure is based upon a model known as “N+1”.
