Este lugar está inspirado en las mayas, quienes tienen una forma
de vida en armonía con los elementos de la naturaleza. Podríamos
decir que es arquitectura maya contemporánea. Si bien las
cabañas están hechas en la forma tradicional –con la excepción
de las paredes que son de vidrio en lugar de bajareque– en otras
áreas como el restaurante y
el domo tuvimos

de pensamiento que gira en
torno al desafío de construir
con la conservación como
eje rector. Azulik Uh May,
el nuevo proyecto en el
que está trabajando la
marca, será la prueba
máxima del éxito de este
innovador modelo, el cual
incorpora la creatividad
y la improvisación como
herramientas indispensables
en el proceso creativo. Nadie

Among the many hospitality
concepts that can be found
in the beautiful destination of
Tulum, there is one that stands
out for its unparalleled design,
which challenges traditional
architectural paradigms. Without

the Azulik hotel rediscovers
the rustic style and mixes it
with the elements of nature,

May. Comenzamos con los
seis círculos arriba y de ahí
colocamos maderas hacia
abajo, para finalmente poner
las columnas. Es una locura,
pero se logró gracias a la
creatividad de los mayas y
al hecho de enfrentarnos a
situaciones inesperadas.
This place is
inspired by the
Maya way of
life, which is in
harmony with
the elements of
nature. We could safely say that this
is contemporary Mayan architecture.
Although the cabins are made
