Sí. En Azulik Uh May estamos haciendo
estructuras que desafían la mentalidad
tradicional de los arquitectos e
ingenieros. Si las vieran dirían “esto
se va a caer”, pero
no se cae porque
no es concreto.
Construimos con
un material que
es parecido al
ferracemento; son
estructuras metálicas forradas
en cemento. Este método surgió
para resolver el problema de
las góndolas de concreto, que
destruirían árboles a su paso.

IN TERMS OF MATERIALS AND
we are erecting structures that

concrete. We build with a material similar to ferrocement: we
make metallic structures lined in cement. This method arose
from the need to solve the problem of concrete mixer trucks,
which would destroy trees in their path.

DESARROLLADORES QUE DESTRUYEN
LA SELVA EN ARAS DE “RENTABILIZAR”
CADA CENTÍMETRO DE TIERRA?
Nosotros entendemos el lujo de una manera diferente. Nuestras
cabañas son las más caras de Tulum, aunque no tienen aire
acondicionado, luz eléctrica, regadera, minibar ni teléfono. Sin
embargo, los huéspedes vienen aquí a vivir una experiencia que no
tendrán en otro lado, a estar en comunión con los elementos de la
naturaleza.
Los invito a visitar Azulik Uh May para que vean cómo se puede
construir sin cortar árboles. Si todos en esta zona construimos
de esta forma, todos tendremos más éxito, pues los turistas no
vienen a vivir aquí por las casas que hacemos. Es una contradicción
que vendemos un pedazo de paraíso y cuando lo compran, lo
destruimos. Claro, es más caro construir de la forma en que lo
hacemos nosotros, pero se va a vender mejor; será más rentable y
al mismo tiempo, estaremos protegiendo a nuestro planeta.

That we understand luxury in a different way. Our cabins are the most expensive in Tulum,
even if they do not have air conditioning, electric light, showers, minibar or telephone
line. However, guests come here to live an experience they would not have anywhere
else: to commune with the elements of nature.

You are all welcome in Azulik Uh May, so you can see how
construction without cutting trees is a reality. Would everyone in
