1. General Guidelines As an authorized retailer you agree to check all the equipment according to DIN/ISO 11088 before the installation or adjustment of the function unit ski / ski binding / ski boot. If necessary, you have to replace one part of the unit or all three parts. All parts have to be in accordance with DIN / ISO standards. 1.1 Guidelines for ski binding inspection All DYNAFIT bindings are 100% checked for their release values during production, in compliance with statutory regulations. Before the installation and adjustment perform a visual inspection of the binding (especially with used bindings). • Check if the release force settings are correct according to the skier. • Check the surfaces which stay in direct contact with the ski boot if they are deteriorated or damaged. Replace the deteriorated or damaged parts with new parts. • Check if the ski brake is broken or bent, and check function. • Check scales for readability and adjustablity. • Remove dirt or corrosion with a moist rag or with pressured air. Do not use thinners to clean the binding, nor silicon or other lubricants on the toe, heel or any other parts. Repair damaged parts. 1.2 Guidelines for ski inspection Skis normally have a special ski binding mounting area. But because skis can differentiate please always follow the ski manufacturer’s instructions concerning drill bit dimensions, adhesives or tapping. 1.3 Guidelines for ski boots DYNAFIT touring ski bindings are only useable in connection with special ski boots which are made for this system. If the inserts or contact areas are too much scratched please check the proper contact between the boot and the binding. Important: DYNAFIT recommends Scarpa F1 touring ski boots only in combination with the "Scarpa F1 Binding plate" accessory (included in the boot packaging). DYNAFIT cannot guarantee that the safety functions of the DYNAFIT bindings will be unaffected in this combination. 2. Mounting and Installation 2.1 Binding placement on the ski Important: Always follow the ski manufacturer’s recommendations! 2.2 DYNAFIT Installation Tool Open the red opening levers to adjust the boot sole length by setting the boot onto the Installation Tool. Move the red opening lever until the front and heel boot stops contact the front and rear boot sole and close the red opening lever properly. Open the two clamping jaws and put the Installation Tool with or without the boot onto the top surface of the ski and close the two clamping jaws after aligning the boot sole mark to the ski mark. Positioning of the Installation Tool: a) If the ski has a ski mark: Align the boot sole mark with the ski mark. b) If the ski has no ski mark: measure the middle of the ski and mark it. Align this ski mark with the front boot sole.
