Anoter: Les bandes soumises dans la<br />

categorie electroacoustique (aucune<br />

partition requise) doivent suivre l'une<br />

des normes suivantes: DAT, PCM (Beta,<br />

NTSC), Analogique (stereo, 5,7 ou 15<br />

pouces/seconde en 1/2 piste). Les<br />

bandes devront etre pretes aetre<br />

diffusees.<br />

Le Concours des jeunes compositeurs de la<br />

SOCAN vise les compositeurs ages de<br />

moins de 30 ans. Les prix sont offerts<br />

dans cinq categories, asavoir :<br />

Prix Sir Ernest MacMillan (ceuvres<br />

orchestrales)<br />

Prix Serge Garant (ceuvres de musique<br />

dechambre)<br />

Prix Pierre Mercure (ceuvres solos ou<br />

duos)<br />

Prix Hugh Le Caine (ceuvres<br />

electroacoustiques)<br />

Prix Godfrey Ridout (ceuvres chorales)<br />

Le Concours des compositeurss de 30 ans ou<br />

plus de la SOCAN consiste en un prix qui<br />

sera remis cette annee pour une ceuvre<br />

chorale.<br />

La date de cloture pour les deux<br />

concours est Ie 30 avril 1992.<br />

Le concours est consacre cette annee aux<br />

ceuvres de musique electroacoustique<br />

pour bande seule. Les compositeurs de<br />

toutes nationalites et de tous ages<br />

peuvent participer. On ne peut soumettre<br />

plus d'une ceuvre. Les bandes peuvent<br />

etre envoyees en format cassette DAT ou<br />

analogique 1/4 pouce, accompagnees des<br />

renseignements pertinents sur la<br />

presentation de l'ceuvre et sur Ie<br />

programme. Les bandes accompagnees<br />

des formulaires de participation doivent<br />

parvenir au secretariat au plus tard Ie 31<br />

The SOCAN Competition for Young<br />

Composers is open to composers under 30<br />

years of age. The prizes are offered in<br />

The competition this year is for works of<br />

electroacoustic music for tape alone.<br />

Competitors may be of any nationality<br />

and age. Competitors may enter no more<br />

than one work. Tapes maybe sent as 1/4<br />

inch analog or DAT cassette with<br />

appropriate playback/program ID<br />

information. Entries along with a<br />

completed entry form must be received<br />

by the secretariat no later than July 31,<br />

1992.<br />
