section «Residence» est ouverte ;lUX<br />

candidats cette annee. En 1992, toutes les<br />

sections habituelles seront ouvertes, et il<br />

yen aura d'autres! La section<br />

«Residence» est ouverte cette annee a<br />

tous les compositeurs de moins de 25 ans<br />

et atous lesetudiants en composition.<br />

Les pieces sou~ises doivent etre<br />

anonymes. Les recipiendaires des Residences<br />

seront invites 11 faire un sejour en residence dans I'un<br />

des centres de musique eJ.ectroacoustique (11<br />

Amsterdam, Bale, Bourges, Budapest, Buenos Aires,<br />

Massy en France, etc.) afin de poursuivre des travaux<br />

de recherche ou de realiser une ceuvre musicale,<br />

Competition, Bourges 1992<br />

The sections Quadrivium and<br />

Magisterium are not being offered in<br />

1992. Only the section Residence is open<br />

to candidates in 1992. In 1993, all the<br />

usual sections will be open, plus more!<br />

The section "Residence" in 1992 is open<br />

to all composers less than 25 years of age<br />

and all students of composition. The<br />

entries must be anonymous. The<br />

recipients of "Residences" will be invited<br />

to undertake a residency at a center for<br />

electroacoustic music (Amsterdam, Basel,<br />

Bourges, Budapest, Buenos Aires, Massy<br />

en France, etc.) in order to pursue<br />

research and/or realize a musical work<br />

during a period of approximately 3<br />

weeks. There will be a maximum of 6<br />

Residences awarded. Latest date for<br />

acceptance of tapes to the competition is<br />

MORE is Vancouver's new high-tech<br />

electric virtuoso band. MORE is a<br />

completely new concept in ensemble<br />

music making. MORE is a new music<br />

ensemble dedicated to the performance<br />

of live music on the leading edge of<br />

technology. MORE performs its own<br />

music, and the music of composers from<br />

around the world, from many traditions.<br />

MORE employs MIDI synthesizers and<br />

samplers and is looking for new music.<br />

MORE controls FM synthesizers of the<br />

YAMAHA family and AKAI S1000 and<br />

EMU Proteus samplers. MORE is: Sergio<br />

Vancouver devoted to presenting the<br />

highest quality and most innovative<br />

. computer / electroacoustic music.<br />

Submissions are now being accepted for<br />

upcoming concerts (pieces can be of any<br />

duration). DAT is preferred, although<br />

1/4" stereo will also be accepted. Tapes<br />

will not be returned unless accompanied<br />

by return postage. Composers will be<br />
