HIGH PERFORMANCE PROFESSIONAL ADHESIVE WITH NO VERTICAL SLIP
DESCRIPTION:
ARREDOCOLLA is a powder adhesive composed of hydraulic binders, minerals, synthetic
resins and special additives. Mixed with water it becomes an easily workable high
performance product with no vertical slip.
It conforms to regulations EN 12004 – Class C2T. (C) cement adhesive (2) improved
adherence – (T) no vertical slip.
USE:
ARREDOCOLLA is used for indoor and outdoor laying, both at wall and floor, of natural
or reconstructed stone and brick (on condition that they are stable and are not subjected
to deformation or staining caused by water absorption). Furthermore it is suitable for
the laying of any type of ceramic tiles even of big size, clinker and quarry-tile. It can be
applied onto any kind of traditional substrate like plaster, cement screed if not submitted
to deformations due to the static loads, screeds made with NEOCEM*or NEOCEM
PRONTO*, prefabricated concrete. It is also suitable for the laying onto substrates like
gypsum, gypsum panels, anhydride screeds, plasterboard provided that rigidly supported.
PREPARATION OF SUBSTRATE:
the substrate must be cured, plane, resistant, free from inconsistent parts, dust and grease
substances and any other material that can harm perfect adhesion. New cement substrates
must have finished the shrinkage phase, that means one or two weeks for plasters and at least
28 days for screeds, unless they are cast with rapidly drying products such as NEOCEM* or
NEOCEM PRONTO*. Gypsum substrates shouldn’t have a percentage of residual humidity
superior to 0,5% and they shall be treated with PRIMER A 16*. Very porous or absorbent
substrates can be treated with impregnating consolidating agent PRIMER A 18*in order to
reduce the screeds’ absorption and to improve the workability of the adhesive.
PREPARATION OF MIXTURE:
add ARREDOCOLLA bag of 25 kg into a container of 6,5-7 litres of water and mix until
a uniform lump free consistency is achieved. Keep the obtained mix for 5-10 minutes and
then remix before application. The mixture will remain workable for about 4 hours.
APPLICATION OF MIXTURE:
Apply the first layer of adhesive very thin with a smooth part of spatula to keep the entire
surface waterproof, to guarantee a good adhesion and to adjust the water absorption level,
then apply the adhesive at the substrate with a suitable spatula spreading it with a trowel
also at stone reverse. Apply sufficient pressure onto the stones in order to ensure good
contact with the adhesive; leave a joint of at least 1 cm between the bricks and of 2 cm
between the stones. Walls can be grouted after 6 hours and floors after about 24 hours.
Commissioning: after 7-10 days according to the environmental conditions.
CONSUMPTION:
4-6 kg/m 2 according to the kind of substrate.
PACKAGING:
ARREDOCOLLA is packed in polythene lined bags of 25 kg onto the pallets of 1500 kg.
Store the product in a dry place in the original well-closed bags. In these conditions its shelf
life is of 12 months.
WARNINGS:
do never apply ARREDOCOLLA onto metal, wooden, plastic or resilient surfaces. Do
always follow the possible dilatation and structural joints of the substrate. Protect the
laid substrates from rain and from direct sunrays till the complete hardening. For further
information or particular use, contact our Technical Assistance Service.
SPECIFICATIONS:
internal and external covering of walls with reconstructed stone, very like a natural one,
resistant against abrasion, frost-proof, transpiring (such as ............... type of COLMEF
brand PIETRE D’ARREDO). Use high performance cement adhesive with no vertical
slip and against efflorescence appearance (such as ARREDOCOLLA of COLMEF brand
PIETRE D’ARREDO). Use fibres reinforced mortar with low water absorption to grout
the stones (such as ARREDOSTUCCO of COLMEF brand PIETRE D’ARREDO) of
............... colour.
