DESCRIPTION:
ARREDOSIL is a colourless water-based silicon impregnating agent, with high penetration
and exceptional water-repellent properties, durable long-term effectiveness. ARREDOSIL
is characterized by a good impregnating power on all porous materials commonly used in
building. ARREDOSIL does not form a film coating, therefore it does not change the vapor
permeability.
USE:
ARREDOSIL is used for invisible protective treatments against beating rain on reconstructed
stone facings and floorings, concrete surfaces, cement plasters, facing bricks, cellular concrete,
porous natural stones etc. The application of ARREDOSIL offers the following benefits:
- higher resistance of reconstructed stone floorings and facings to freeze/ thaw cycles;
- protection against the infiltration of rainwater, even in microcracks up to 0,3mm wide;
- protection against the carbonation of concrete surfaces;
- protection against salty air in seacoast areas;
- protection against acid rains and atmospheric agents in general;
- self-washing walls, making dirt slide off instead of clinging;
- elimination of efflorescence;
- no aesthetic alteration of the treated surface;
- no film formation, thus letting the masonry breathe.
PREPARATION OF SUBSTRATE:
the reconstructed stone facing, flooring or all the substrates to be impregnated must be
clean, grease free, and dry, in order to guarantee the maximum penetration of the product.
Wait for the surface to be totally dry before applying ARREDOSIL.
APPLICATION OF PRODUCT:
ARREDOSIL is ready to use and can be applied by brush, roll, or low-pressure airless
equipment. Spread the product uniformly, in one coat, until the substrate is completely
saturated avoiding dripping or leakage. The duration of the water-repellent effect depends
considerably on the depth of penetration of the impregnating agent. On the average, we
recommend reapeating the treatment at 5-to-10-year intervals. On very compact or darkcoloured
substrate, carry out a preliminary test before starting apllication in order to
evaluate the absorption and avoid colour and shade variations.
CONSUMPTION:
0,20-0,50 kg/m 2 , depending on the porosity of substrate.
PACKAGING:
ARREDOSIL is packed in 5-liter plastic drums and 1-liter plastic bottles in boxes of 20
pieces. Store the product in a dry, sheltered place in originally, tightly closed containers,
at temperature between +5 °C and +30 °C. In these conditions, its characteristics remain
unaltered for at least 12 months.
WARNINGS:
all tools used for the application of ARREDOSIL may be washed with water before its hardening.

SPECIFICATIONS:

using a product consisting of siloxane resins in watery solution (such as ARREDOSIL of
COLMEF brand PIETRE D’ARREDO), to be applied by brush, roller, or low-pressure
