J’eux est un projet à la fois matrice et interface, réalisé sur le principe de Des Frags, puis reconstruit dans le contexte du réseau. Grâce à l’élaboration d’une base de données qui trouve sa racine au sein de moteurs de recherches d’images à l’aide du mot clé : “portrait” et de la mise en forme d’une collection de liens vers des fichiers images provenant d’anonymes, J’eux régénère le portrait d’un enfant. J’eux is both a matrix and an interface project. It is constructed on the Des Frags basis then rebuilt in the network context. J’eux regenerates the portrait of a child and using a data base which finds its roots within image search engines using the key word “portrait”. A collection of links of image files from anonymous people regenerates the portrait of a child.

JE ME REN-CONTRE 8 promenades à Senigallia de l’hôtel Trocadéro à la place del Duca, ces promenades sur la plage sont des déambulations vers des gens qui ne font rien de particulier que d’être sur la plage. Je me rends contre eux et je fais une photo, je ne regarde pas dans le viseur, pas de cadrage, je fais juste semblant de régler mon appareil numérique et je leur vole une image. Parfois je reste assis plusieurs heures et ce sont eux qui viennent dans le champ de mon appareil. J’ai fait 7 promenades x 30 photos environ. Pendant ces marches, je m’arrêtais parfois pour lire le livre de Paul Auster Trilogie New-Yorkaise. Dans lequel je me perdais dans une mise en abîme des personnages qui ne sont pas eux-mêmes mais les Autres. Sur la plage, je me rencontre… 8 strolls in Senigallia, front the Trocadero hotel to the piazza del Duca, these strolls on the beach consist in walking around people who are not involved in any particular activity outside of being on the beach. I come up close to them and I take a photo, without looking in the viewfinder, without framing. I pretend to adjust my digital camera and I steal their image. Sometimes I sit for a few hours and it’s the people who enter the camera field. I took 7 walks x about 30 photos. During these walks I paused occasionally to read Paul Auster’s book A New York Trilogy. Where I would lose myself in the infinite reflection of characters that are not themselves but Others. On the beach I come close up... ...................
