Click the Volume icon on the taskbar and sli<strong>de</strong> the volume<br />

control bar to adjust the volume.<br />

Using the Sound Recor<strong>de</strong>r<br />

The procedures to record sound using the <strong>Windows</strong> Recor<strong>de</strong>r are<br />

<strong>de</strong>scribed below.<br />

Connect a microphone to the microphone jack.<br />

You can also use the internal MIC.<br />

Right-click over the Volume icon on the taskbar and select<br />

Recording Device.<br />

Check if the microphone is set as the <strong>de</strong>fault recording<br />

<strong>de</strong>vice.<br />

If this is the case, it is already set as the <strong>de</strong>fault <strong>de</strong>vice. If not,<br />

right-click over the microphone and select Set <strong>de</strong>fault.<br />

Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Sound Recor<strong>de</strong>r<br />

and click Start recording to start a recording.<br />
