Jean-Paul Schmitt aime profondément les êtres vivants : humains,<br />
animaux, végétaux,… leur rendant hommage dans ses grandes<br />
toiles aux formes picturales enlevées, aux couleurs très vives.<br />
Le peintre peint dans la tonalité de ses émotions, réalisant par<br />
exemple des paysages à la manière fauve, marquant les couleurs<br />
d’une belle intensité.<br />
Les portraits sont également très importants pour Jean-Paul qui<br />
met en scène des modèles, comme il a pu le faire pendant près de<br />
15 ans dans un premier métier : le théâtre, soulignant toujours leur<br />
