Le musée du Jeu de Paume organise une magnifique exposition sur le travail
de cet artiste français d’origine roumaine : Eli Lotar (1905-1969) à la fois
photographe et cinéaste. L’exposition permet de découvrir le rôle de cet acteur
crucial de la modernité photographique à travers un parcours thématique, de
la « Nouvelle Vision » au cinéma documentaire, en passant par ses paysages
urbains, industriels ou maritimes.

The museum of Jeu de Paume organizes a magnificent exhibition on the work
of this French artist of Rumanian origin : Eli Lotar ( 1905-1969 ) at the same time
photographer and film-maker. The exhibition allows to discover the role of this
crucial actor of the photographic modernity through a thematic route, from the
« New Vision » to the documentary cinema, via its urban, industrial or maritime
landscapes.

Vermeer au Louvre • Vermeer in the Louvre
Réunissant pour la première fois à Paris depuis 1966 douze tableaux de Vermeer,
l’exposition explore le réseau fascinant des relations qu’il a entretenues avec les
autres grands peintres du Siècle d’or hollandais. Les prêts exceptionnels consentis
par les plus grandes institutions américaines, britanniques, allemandes et bien sûr
néerlandaises, permettent de montrer Vermeer comme jamais auparavant.

Gathering for the first time since 1966 in Paris twelve paintings of Vermeer, the
exhibition explores the fascinating relations network he maintained with the other
great painters of the Dutch Golden Age. The exceptional loans granted by the
biggest American, British, German and of course Dutch institutions, allow to show
Vermeer as never it has been done before.

Olga Picasso
L’exposition revient sur les années partagées du couple qu’a formé Pablo Picasso
avec sa première épouse, Olga Khokhlova, danseuse au sein des Ballets Russes.
L’exposition met en perspective la réalisation de quelques-unes des œuvres
majeures de Picasso entre 1917 et 1935, en resituant cette production dans le
cadre de cette histoire personnelle, filtre d’une histoire politique et sociale élargie
de l’entre-deux-guerres.

The exhibition comes back on the years shared by the couple formed by Pablo
Picasso with his first wife, Olga Khokhlova, dancer in the Russian Ballets. The
exhibition puts in perspective the realization of some of the major works of Picasso
between 1917 and 1935, locating this production within the framework of this
personal history, filter of a political and social one widened by the interwar period.
