Quelques artistes de - Unima

La Commission UNIMA-AFRIQUE existe depuis mai 2008..., du moins une
Commission composée et dirigée exclusivement par les africains. Oui, elle existe
depuis le 20 ème congrès mondial de l’Organisation tenu à Perth, Australie, 70 ans
environ après sa création. Que d’eau avait coulé sous le pont avant cet acte
historique !
Ce fut un grand pas pour l’ouverture et la démocratisation de l’Unima,
puisqu’encore au 18 ème congrès tenu en 2000 à Magdeburg, Allemagne, il était
encore prématuré de parler d’Africains au sein de cette Commission créée en leur
nom. C’est donc une victoire et un honneur pour ce 20 ème congrès d’avoir permis
à l’Unima de donner un contenu à son titre d’Organisation mondiale. Mais c’est
aussi l’aboutissement d’une lutte des conseillers africains qui n’ont jamais
manqué l’occasion de décrier leur marginalisation au sein de l’Organisation.
Nous avons cherché cette égalité au sein de la structure, notre responsabilisation,
notre implication dans la gestion des affaires de l’Organisation, tout comme nos amis d’Amérique, d’Asie et
d’Europe. Malheureusement nous avons tendance, aujourd’hui, à donner l’impression que notre lutte s’arrête
à notre implication dans les affaires de la Structure. Nous avons tendance à oublier que c’est de notre devoir
le développement de l’art de la marionnette en Afrique. Et que personne d’autre, mieux que nous, ne saura le
faire avec harmonie dans la perspective d’atteindre des résultats durables. Il nous faut nécessairement rester
uni et mobilisé autour de nos objectifs. Il nous faut rester persévérant dans les efforts. C’est à ce prix que nous
réussirons la réalisation de notre rêve de faire de l’Afrique, un espace où se jouera l’avenir de la marionnette
universelle.

The African UNIMA Commission exists since May 2008..., at least a Commission made up and directed
exclusively by African. Yes, it exists since the 20 2nd world congress of the Organization held in Perth,
Australia, 70 years approximately, after its creation. That of water had run under the bridge before this
historical act!
It was a great step for the opening and the democratization of Unima since still with the 18 2nd congress held
into 2000 in Magdeburg, Germany, it was still premature of speaking about Africans within this Commission
created on their behalf. It is thus a victory and an honor for this 20 2nd congress to have made it possible
Unima to give contents to its title of world Organization. But it is also the result of a fight of the African advisers
who never missed the occasion of decrier their marginalization within the Structure.
We sought this equality within the structure, our empowerment, our implication in the management of the
businesses of the Organization, just like our friends of America, Asia and Europe. Unfortunately we tend,
today, to give the impression which our fight stops with our implication in the businesses the Organization. We
tend to forget that it is of our duty the development of the art of the puppet in Africa. And that nobody of other,
better than us, will be able to make it with harmony with a view to reach durable results. There is necessary for
us necessarily to remain plain and mobilized around our objectives. There is necessary for us to remain
persevering in the efforts. It is at this price that we will make a success of the realization of our dream to make
of Africa, a space where the future of the universal puppet will be played.
