Goals of company/Troupe: Wel Ya Wel aims to produce plays and television programs for children using puppets. The
following are our main goals:
- Developing children's creativity and imagination
- Spreading awareness on issues concerning children's health
- Using drama as an educational tool
- Preserving the environment
- Concentrating on the universal language of musical drama (e.g. opera or operettas)

History of Company/Troupe:
In 2004, a troupe of enthusiastic puppeteers - under the leadership of the Egyptian young professional
Specialist and Director Mr. Walid Badr - has founded Wel Ya Wel workshop to produce bunch of children
educational programs using the marionette animal and characters puppets, entering the field of big human
puppets shows also; especially designed for children and for the presentation of TV shows.
Wel Ya Wel puppet theater created and performed the educational marionette show of Goha we Fattora and
more plays.
In 2007 Wel Ya Wel Puppet Theater and Mr. Walid Badr became member's Committee of Counselors in WAP
– WORLD ASSOCIATION OF PUPPETEERS.
Wel Ya Wel Puppet Theater working with more companies in Television production more serious, programs
and Advertising.
In 2011 Walid Badr established Unima center called Unima Egypt Under Unima International and became
president Unima Egypt.
Performances : Goha and Fattora Play, aez Hakky Play – and more Television production.
Workshop : workshop in Shaer House center about marionette puppet in 2010.
Festivals :
- participation in culture French center Festival in Egypt (2004);
- participation in Egyptian Europe street festival in Cairo & Alexandria city (2007);
- participation in 11th world Festival of puppet art in Prague (2007);
- participation in international Festival Sarajevo in Bosnia ‘’winter festival’’ (2008);
- participation in 1 st Baku International Puppet Festival - Azerbaijan (2011).
