Quand y aller? / When to go?
La visite du site d’Antongona est possible en
toute saison. Les pluies sont plus nombreuses
entre novembre et avril.
The visit to the Antongona site is possible in any
season. The rains are more numerous between
November and April.
Comment s’y rendre? / How to get there?
Le site d’Antongona se situe à 36 km à l’ouest
du centre-ville, en empruntant la route nationale
N°1. Il se trouve sur le côté droit de la route, à
l’entrée de la ville d’Imerintsiatosika. Liaisons
internationales avec Antananarivo avec Air
Madagascar. Depuis l’aéroport international
d’Ivato, prenez la route digue jusqu’au rond
point d’Anosizato pour rejoindre ensuite la RN1.
Mais pour savourer la vue panoramique sur
Avaradrano et Antananarivo, il faudra marcher 7
km jusqu’au sommet de la colline.
The Antongona site only 36 km away from the
Madagascan capital. Take Highway No. 1., turn
right at the junction to Imerintsiatosika. For
international connections to Antananarivo check
Air Madagascar. But to enjoy the panoramic view
of Avaradrano and Antananarivo, you will have to
walk 7 km to the top of the hill.

Vous pouvez séjourner au « Green Ressort
Vontovorona », situé à proximité du site
d’Antonogona ou bien continuer la route jusqu’à
Ampefy et réserver ainsi vos chambres à l’hôtel
« La Chaumière d’Itasy » ou encore à l’hôtel « La
Terrasse ». Toutefois, si vous voulez dormir à
Tana, les hôtels « Colbert », « Le Louvre » ou « La
Ribaudière » vous réservent un très bon service.

located near the site of Antonogona or continue
the road to Ampefy and book your rooms at
the hotel "La Chaumière d'Itasy" or at the hotel
"The terrace". However, if you want to sleep in
Tana, the hotels "Colbert", "The Louvre" or "La
Ribaudière" are most recommendable.

Appréciez les plats à base de Tilapia, un poisson
d’eau douce, une spécialité régionale à déguster au «
Petit Manoir Rouge » ou bien à l’auberge « La Tapia ».
Enjoy dishes based on Tilapia, a freshwater fish, a
regional specialty at the "Petit Manoir Rouge" or at the
hostel "La Tapia".
Que voir? / What to see?
Outre le côté « sportif » de la visite et son intérêt
historique, (ne pas oublier de faire un tour par
le musée), il est intéressant de faire un crochet
par Ampefy, à proximité, et de visiter l’îlot de la
vierge et la chute de la Lily. Un pique-nique ou un
barbecue seraient même une bonne idée…
