A WORD OF ADVICE FOR THE BOL D’OR MIRABAUD Are you ready to cast off for the 81 st Bol d’Or Mirabaud? To hoist the sails? And to stay the course to Le Bouveret? If I can give you a word of advice before you cross the starting line on 15 June, it’s to prepare. This year, Mirabaud is celebrating its 200 th anniversary. When in conversation, I’m frequently asked: "What’s the secret of Mirabaud’s longevity? How has a company founded in Geneva in 1819 survived two World Wars and some fifty economic crises?". My Partners and I have taken the opportunity offered by our bicentenary anniversary to discuss just this. From our discussions, it has become clear that the reason why Mirabaud has evolved into an international group, present in ten countries, is that day in and day out, for 200 years, we’ve been prepared for now. Not for yesterday, not for tomorrow, but for now. We’ve also adopted the slogan "Prepared for now" to accompany our new visual identity marking our bicentenary. This simple advice can be applied to a multitude of situations, and particularly to the Bol d’Or Mirabaud. Before you arrive at the starting line, the boat has to be prepared: the rigging needs to be set, the sails need to be neatly folded. The crew also needs to be well trained, each with a dedicated task, but able to help each other. The multiple generations of sailboats, monohulls and multihulls designed in the shipyards of Lake Geneva are testament to the fact that being ready also means innovating and evolving. Preparing allows you to live in the present moment; to experience, together with the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, an exceptional human adventure and to share it with others. Mirabaud would like to share this bicentenary year of celebration with you by hosting two concerts at the Société Nautique de Genève, on Friday 14 June and Saturday 15 June, and by offering a gift for each participant and a surprise for the crew that finishes 200 th .
