Abstract (The history of journalism teaches verticality and quality - Conversation with. Dr.<br />
Géza Buzinkay, journalism historian) According to the renowned Hungarian specialist the history<br />
of journalism analyses the evolution of mankind from a different point of view than other branches<br />
of science, so it can be regarded as a standalone discipline. Dr. Géza Buzinkay focuses on the<br />
problems regarding the vision on the history of jurnalism that arose in the academic circles in the<br />
eighties and expresses his own point of view regarding the state of this science today. We can find<br />
out why the author regards history of journalism such an important topic in teaching journalism<br />
and why it isn’t present in the academic world of Transylvania.<br />

Rezumat (Istoria presei ne învaţă calitate umană şi profesională – Interviu cu dr. Géza Buzinkay,<br />
istoric al presei) În viziunea cunoscutului specialist din Ungaria, istoria presei deschide<br />
– în comparaţie cu celelalte ramuri ştiinţifice – o cu totul altă perspectivă asupra dezvoltării<br />
societăţii umane, în consecinţă poate fi considerată ca fiind un domeniu independent. Dr. Géza<br />
Buzinkay vorbeşte despre problemele de fond ale tratatului de istorie a presei maghiare apărut<br />
în anii `80 la Editura Academiei şi despre situaţia actuală a presei maghiare. Vom afla părerea<br />
acestuia despre importanţa predării istoriei presei la secţiile de jurnalistică, respective motivele<br />
pentru care istoriei presei maghiare din Transilvania lipseşte din tratatul amintit.<br />

Az elismert magyarországi szakember szerint a többi tudományághoz<br />
képest a sajtótörténet teljesen más perspektívából közelíti meg az emberiség<br />
fejlődését, ezért önálló területnek tekinthető. Dr. Buzinkay Géza kitér a<br />
nyolcvanas években megjelent akadémiai magyar sajtótörténet szemléletbeli<br />
problémáira, és véleményt mond a mai magyarországi sajtó helyzetéről.<br />
Megtudhatjuk, hogy miért tekinti fontosnak a sajtótörténetet az újságíró-oktatásban,<br />
és arra is fény derül, hogy az erdélyi magyar sajtó története<br />
miért hiányzik az akadémiai kiadásból.<br />
