Constitution<br />

Art. 1 - This union among uncountable Italian-American societies of the counties of<br />

Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon will be named “Unione Coloniale delle Società Italo-<br />

Americane delle contee di Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon”. The name could not be<br />

changed. The headquarters can be changed.<br />

Art. 2 - The aim of the Union will be to unite as much as possible Italians of these three<br />

counties, promote the understanding of their citizen rights while respecting American laws<br />

[…] and promote mutual help through fraternal, financial, political and civil actions. […]<br />

After the death of a member a widow will receive $ 1,000 […].<br />

Art. 3 - The administration of the Union will be composed by the General President, the First<br />

and Second Vice-President, the General Secretary, the General Treasurer, the Vice-Treasurer,<br />

the Great Marshall, and a committee of twelve Advisors […]. Nobody will be paid for serving<br />

the Union but the General Secretary.<br />

Art. 4 - Any Italian society based in one of the three counties can join the Union.<br />

Art. 5 - The admission fee for each society joining after today is $ 10.<br />

Art. 6 - Each member society will pay 5 cents for each one of its member […].<br />
