The Winston lamp-post is available in different
compositions and is made up of two conical poles
with an upward tapered circular section. It is hot
galvanized according to regulations and shall be
fixed to the ground by means of a flange Ø280 mm in
diameter and a base in aluminium casting Ø700 mm
in diameter. The two conical poles are connected by
means of a steel tie Ø48 mm in diameter and plates
with proper fastening holes shall be welded to the
pole ends. The different heights of the conical poles
will create different composition possibilities.
Bolts and screws are in stainless steel.
The materials making up the Winston pole (steel and
iron casting) are prepared for the final coat through
various working stages: trimming, turning, milling and
drilling, sandblasting, surfacing etc. Painting is carried
out in four stages: spraying of a first coat (primer) applied
in the form of aerosol, with polymeric reticulation
properly sticking to the substratum; inspection and
touch-up when necessary; spraying of the finishing
coat in the form of aerosol (polyurethane enamel bicomponent),
in the colour requested by the purchaser,
with the required roughness, colour and reflectance
features; inspection and touch-up when necessary.
