The lamp-post Arona is made up of a base and two
cast iron columns, with a hot-galvanized steel core
inside, prepared to be cemented into a foundation
plinth.
The luminaire consists of a cast aluminium projector
with a transparent PMMA bottom cup, connected to
the pole by means of a bent flask or a steel support
upon which the post-top luminaire is placed (in
case of installation on a steel lamp-post); fibreglass
diffuser and relative bracket arms, made up of curved
steel tubes.
Bolts and nuts are in stainless steel.
The lamp-post Arona Vela represents the complex
union of various materials (cast iron or aluminium or
steel) which undergo a series of different treatments,
before their final coat of painting, in accordance with
the material they are made of.
Each component is prepared for final painting
through various working stages (trimming, turning,
milling and drilling, sandblasting, surfacing etc.) and
at least two priming coats suitable to receive and
protect the finishing film in the colour required by
the purchaser.
