È la prima tappa di montagna della Tirreno Adriatico 2015 e
con i suoi 226 km è anche la più lunga. Prima parte ondulata
(dove spicca la Foce dello Scopetone da scalare in partenza
dopo 13.4 km) passando per Gubbio dove è posto primo TV
per portarsi a Fabriano (TV) e quindi percorrere la seconda
molto impegnativa parte della tappa. Si scala il Poggio San
Romualdo (GPM sup) e raggiunta Castelraimondo con alcuni
saliscendi si affronta il duro circuito finale di Crispiero.
Carreggiata ampia e ben pavimentata fino a Fabriano,
ristretta e a volte con manto usurato nella parte di montagna
successiva.
Route
This is the first mountain stage of the 2015 edition of the Tirreno
Adriatico, and the longest one as well (226 km). The first, wavy
part (with a climb up Foce dello Scopetone just 13.4 km after the
start) runs through Gubbio, where the first intermediate sprint is
set, then heads towards Fabriano (intermediate sprint) and leads
to the second, highly challenging part of the stage. The route
climbs up Poggio San Romualdo (Superior KOM climb) then hits
Castelraimondo, after a few ascents and descents, and eventually
enters the demanding final Crispiero circuit. The roadway is wide
and well surfaced up to Fabriano, narrowed and occasionally
worn out in the following mountain sector.
