CAUTION:
Make sure the oil reserve indicator is working : turn the key to the ON position, the
light must remain on in «N >> (neutral) position and go off when you shift into gear.
lmproper use or faulty repair may cause the level-probe to fail to energize the light
when the oil in the tank drops below the minimum level; it is therefore advisable to
check it after every repair and before every departure, to make sure it is functioning
correctly.
When the oil level drops below minimum, air bubbles may form in the pump intake
port: this can cause lubrication failure, resulting in serious damage to the engine. In
this case, do not start the engine until a Gilera Dealer has checked and purged the
system.
When filling up, carefully prevent foreign bodies from entering the tank.
The use of inferior grades of oil may produce an increase of carbon deposits
around sparkplugs, significantly lowering efficiency and damaging the engine.
