CHANGING
GEARBOX OIL
Unscrew the plug on the bottom of the left half-casing (Fig. 16 - no.
A) and allow it to empty completely.
This operation should be performed with engine warm.
Replace the drain plug, tighten to torque 2.0 -:- 2.2 kgm and check
for leaks.
Pour in 1.3 l. of new oil through the fili hole and check the level by
means of the dipstick provided, with the cycle perfectly vertical (Fig.
17). When the operation is finished, lean the cycle over to the left
onto the footrest so that oil will flow into layshaft drive gear group.
CAUTION: lf the cycle is used in dusty areas, this procedure
should be repeated more frequently than indicated.
