MAINTENANCE SUMMARY
AFTER THE FIRST 500 (no more than 1000)
km.:
- make sure screws and nuts are tight;
- check the tightening of head bolts and repiace
if necessary;
- check and adjust the brakes ;
- check and adjust the chain;
- adjust engine idle;
- check the sparkplug and regap (0.6-;-0.7
mm) ;
- replace crankcase oil;
- check radiator coolant.
EVERY 4000 km.:
repeat the above operations, plus :
- check crancase oil level;
- check the rear wheel flexible coupling;
- check the play in steering bearings;
- check electrolyte level in the battery;
- check brake fluid level;
- check radiator coolant;
- check the state of the air filter and replace if
necessary;
- replace the sparkplug.
EVERY 8000 km.:
- pull the cylinder head, exhaust pipe and
muffler;
- clean the piston crown with a scraper (avoid
scratching);
- clean the cylinder exhaust port, after
pushing the piston to bdc;
- check and/or replace the head gaskets;
- replace the air filter;
- replace the oil in the telescopic fork;
- replace the brake pads.
