CH_DOF02Along creek lines and lower slopes on sandstone plateaus there is a dense layer of tall Flaky-bark Tea-tree(Leptospermum trinervium), Sieber’s Paperbark (Melaleuca sieberi) and Old Man Banksia (Banksia serrata.) with aground layer of sedges such as Lepyrodia sp. A. In Conglomerate State Forest the understorey is often a denseground layer of Kangaroo Grass (Themeda australis) and shrub cover is low. Elsewhere at Madman’s Creek andparts of the Red Range the understorey consists of a well developed shrub layer.
