A mid stratum is often presentalso including Satinwood (Nematolepis squamea subsp. squamea), and White’s Tea-tree (Leptospermum whitei). Alower layer of shrubs also occurs, with Pearl Beard Heath (Leucopogon margarodes) Blueberry Ash (Elaeocarpusreticulatus) and Lance Beard-heath (Leucopogon lanceolatus) present. A second lower layer is characterised bySaw Sedge (Gahnia sieberiana), Tassel Rush (Baloskion tetraphyllum subsp. meiostachyum), Swamp Grass Tree(Xanthorrhoea fulva) and Curly Wig (Caustis recurvata). This community occurs on the outer edge of coastal heathfreshwater swamps which are less-waterlogged.
