IN PRIMO PIANO
«Raccogliere la sfida della sostenibilità vuol
dire destinarvi investimenti importanti. È un
percorso complesso e che richiede del tempo»,
ha aggiunto Fabbri. «Anche da qui ha origine
l’interesse della singola impresa a misurare
le proprie performance. Gli strumenti implementati
rispondono all’esigenza di darsi delle
valutazioni. Penso all’ecodesign tool, costruito
gestiti dallo staff interno all’azienda. «La formazione
tecnica e la ricerca sul campo – ha
concluso Fabbri – meglio se affiancate dal
mondo universitario, diventano fondamentali.
In quest’ottica si inserisce il percorso formativo
che Assofond ha sviluppato per le fonderie
associate. Proprio tramite la collaborazione
con Università, centri di formazione di Confindustria
territoriali e centri di consulenza, è
Made Green in Italy certification to the one for
recovery of foundry sand— represent invaluable
support. “Taking up the sustainability challenge
means investing heavily in it. It is a complex
path that takes time,” added Fabbri. “This is
also the origin of individual companies’ interest
in measuring their own performance. The tools
implemented respond to a need to self-assess.
I’m thinking of the ecodesign tool, built specifically
for cast iron foundries to measure their
environmental footprint. The first of its kind at
European level, it is now such a functional tool
that it is close to being adapted for steel and
non-ferrous metal foundries.
On the other hand, companies’ needs do not
stop here, and also concern training. Precisely
because outsiders are often unfamiliar with the
peculiarities of foundry work, it is essential that
sustainability measurement tools are known
and managed by in-house staff. “Technical
training and research in the field,” concluded
Fabbri, “better if supported by universities, become
fundamental. The training course that
Assofond has developed for its member foundries
fits into this perspective. Collaboration with
universities, local Confindustria training centres
and consultancy centres is precisely what has
led to the creation of a group of highly specialised
lecturers on the ecological transition
