20 SEEN @ IFTM Top Resa MAP Pro 2016 What The Exhibitors Tho A tour of the show floor to “take the temperature” of IFTM Top Resa 2016 Carole Bednarek Director Sales & Marketing France/Europe, Air Calin International This is a good, and very professional show, which allows us once a year to take stock of our activities with our partners. It's a show that works upstream - at which we meet our contacts in the industry, and introduce them to all of our new features. We do this every year because we meet the top TO management with whom we are working on the destination of New Caledonia. On the other hand, I think that three full business days are sufficient. The fourth day could actually become a public day. For example, I'm ready to leave my stand free of charge to tour operators from New Caledonia for something like this... Chaima Badawi & Marc Bassily Tourism Office of Egypt We were among the few countries of North Africa and the Middle East present this year about IFTM Top Resa. We felt that there are fewer people on our stand but now we understand the image that may have Egypt among the general public. Nevertheless, ensuring a presence at IFTM Top Resa is always a good opportunity to meet professionals, to talk with them, to evaluate the possibilities of cooperation between the tourist office and French tour operators. IFTM Top Resa is an effective, quality show. The coming of our Minister of Tourism the first day of the show attracted a large number of people. It turns out that the interest for Egypt still exists when you talk with visitors to the show, but the fear is still there. At least for me (Chaima Badawi), I have a great loyalty to IFTM Top Resa. I first came as a visitor and it is here that I found my job at the tourism office of Egypt and started my career! Zeng Huang Sales Manager - China Tours, China Dynasty It is ten years now that we have been coming to IFTM Top Resa and I wouldn't miss this opportunity each year. There has been a certain development over 10 years, frankly is not the same thing at all. Clients are more professional, we have new contacts every year who come to know our new products. I think the stand of China is strategically placed with excellent visibility for the public. What I regret is that there is not more animation at the stand during the show. I think that more entertainment would attract even more visitors. FACES @ IFTM TOP RESA 2016 From the divine to the exotic… the show had plenty to surprise! Travelling around this year’s show was a little like travelling around the world when it came to seeing exotic, extraordinary faces and ethnic activities… as if you could visit each country in the microcosm of a stand… Here are just some! SEEN @ IFTM Top Resa MAP Pro 2016 21 ught… While this year’s show was awash with colour and excitement, we toured the show floor on the last day of the show to ascertain what the feeling was with regard to tangible results… Thierry Maillet (Française des Circuits) & Guillaume Linton (Asia) Head and deputy head of the TO Village This is the eleventh year that we have had the "TO Village" space and it is a concept that works. We come here to meet a maximum of receptive agents in a minimum amount of time, as all our stands are similar and we have this conviviality space open around a large bar. This year in addition has been a good show, because we really reached the target we were aiming for. That is to say, having more travel agents coming to meet the receptives and tour operators. It's so much easier that we are ideally located, just at the crossroads of the different thematic villages and geographical zones. We gained in efficiency with the organisation of appointments with 18 receptives and TOs present, representing twenty brands. In addition, we had an incentive for each travel agent visiting us. They received a passport to complete with twelve stamps. If he or she collected all of them, they could participate in a prize draw. And this year, it was a trip to Indonesia. Not bad! Two hours of meetings with the various TOs and in the end, a great trip! In any case, we were delighted with the late night session that we had been hoping for, for a long time. This allowed us to capture the agencies from the afternoon onwards, and finish in a convivial manner with the SETO evening. Nadège Garros Costa Croisières This edition of IFTM Top Resa went very well. I don't actually have much to say because this show runs well, and is very well organised. We also enjoy, at Costa Croisières, a great location within the TO Village. Our presence at the show in fact allows us keep our partners and customers up to date. We present our latest news, offers, onboard entertainment, and our itineraries. We unveil what will be our business priorities and our strategy with our partners. Some even come from abroad or from afar. We welcome our sellers from France’s overseas territories, and even travel agencies from Israel. We also participated actively in the IFTM Top Resa conference sessions with our President as a speaker. IFTM Daily • Monday 3 rd October 2016
